About Electronic Bong

Electronic Bong (electronicbong.com) is a brand-neutral category resource for electric combustion devices — the emerging class of flameless, dry-herb consumption hardware that the industry is beginning to call the electronic bong (eBong). We define the category, explain how the technology works, and route readers to the brands building it. We do not sell anything on this site.

Who We Are

This site is published by Green Lion Innovations, a company building in the electric combustion space. Green Lion develops in-house brands and works with partner brands on co-branded electric combustion devices. Electronicbong.com is the neutral category hub that sits above all of those brands — it exists to grow awareness of the product category, not to push any single product or label.

Green Lion Innovations holds in-house brands and partners with established names in the smoking category. Those relationships are disclosed in our routing layer. When we link to a brand or product, we say plainly whether it is in-house or a partner. You will never see a brand pushed as "best" in our editorial copy — selection belongs to you, and our job is to give you the information to make it.

Why This Category Needs a Hub

The electronic bong is a genuinely new product type. Searches for "electronic bong," "eBong," "electric combustion device," and the question "is this vaping?" are growing — but there is almost nowhere authoritative to land. Most results are either vaporizer retailers (wrongly categorizing these devices as vapes) or bare product listings with no real explanation of what the device actually does.

The category has one defining feature that is easy to misread: it uses electric heat, but it produces real smoke through combustion — not vapor. The eBong is not a vaporizer. It is not vaping. That distinction matters for anyone who has chosen combustion deliberately, and it matters outdoors, where a lighter fails and an electric combustion device does not. Windproof and waterproof by design — because there is no flame to blow out — the eBong solves a real problem that the vaping category never addressed. This hub exists to explain that clearly.

Editorial Standards

Every page on this site goes through a human editorial pass before it is staged for publication. We do not auto-publish. Our review process checks for:

  • Accuracy. Technical claims — combustion temperature, device mechanism, windproof/waterproof behavior — must be factually correct and grounded in how the hardware actually works.
  • Lexicon compliance. We maintain a category lexicon so that terms are used consistently. "eBong" and "electronic bong" are category terms, not brand names. We never call our device a vape or vaporizer except in direct contrast to explain the difference.
  • No medical claims. We do not make health claims about any device or substance. Where health topics come up (comparative research, how combustion relates to inhalation), we link to peer-reviewed sources and government health bodies, not to our own assertions.
  • Neutrality. Educational and category content is brand-agnostic. Brand information lives only in the routing layer — the product directory and where-to-find pages — where it is clearly labeled.
  • Compliance context. Cannabis legality varies by jurisdiction. We include age and legality reminders wherever purchase intent exists. We do not assert that cannabis is legal in any specific location — that is the reader's responsibility to verify.

Our content is written and reviewed by our team at Green Lion Innovations.

Mike Bologna — Author & Category Lead

Mike Bologna leads the electric-combustion category work at Green Lion Innovations and authors the guides across this site — what an electronic bong is, how electric combustion works, how it differs from vaporization, the use cases, and the device and concentrate explainers.

Matt Watson reviews the site's technical, comparison, and health-adjacent content for accuracy and reviews the sources cited on those pages before they are published.

What We Are Not

We are not a retailer. We do not process payments, hold inventory, or fulfill orders. Every "buy" or "find a brand" link on this site routes you to an external brand's own store. We are not responsible for those transactions, prices, product availability, or shipping. See our legal disclaimer for the full terms.

We are not a medical authority. Nothing on this site should be read as medical, legal, or health advice.

We are not a vape review site. If you are looking for vaporizer guidance, the concentrate cluster on this hub is the closest we get — and those pages explain clearly that vaporizers and eBongs are different devices doing different things.
